Stars for Owen - (3 hours) A simple but effective original star design named for my grandson Owen, you'll learn 2-for-1 piecing and a great way to use those 2 1/2" strips you have been collecting. We'll also do a really simple pieced sashing that makes the quilt look even more complicated.  I'll show you several other designs you can make with the units we'll construct. Class project is a 3-block table runner, but you can easily make it larger. Just purchase more background fabric and select strips for the stars from your stash when you get home. This is a great way to use up those left-over strips. Sewing machine required.


The illustration below is the size of the table runner we'll make in class. The one above is the twin-size quilt.
